    • Burdick, Andrew
    • Andrew Eben Burdick is the Director of Design Research for Architecture for Humanity New York and a designer at Polshek Partnership Architects. Since 2005, he has helped shape AFHny into a one-hundred member strong volunteer organization, researching and shaping its future projects and initiatives, and collaborating with numerous non-profit organizations and city agencies throughout the five boroughs of New York. Mr. Burdick received his M. Arch from the University of Virginia School Of Architecture, where he was the recipient of the AIA Certificate of Merit, the Edgar Shannon Award, the Mr. and Mrs. Robert Vickery Scholarship for Study Abroad, and the Virginia Society AIA Prize. Mr. Burdick’s design work has placed in regional and international competitions and has been exhibited at conferences for the United Nations in New York and in Shanghai, China as well as at the World Conference on Aging in Madrid, Spain. Mr. Burdick recently curated AFHny’s inaugural exhibit: NetWorks, and is currently working alongside the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation and various community activists to help re-open the historic High Bridge, reconnecting the neighborhoods of upper Manhattan and the Bronx, and revitalizing this recreational greenway as a catalyst for neighborhood development.

    • allie c. rosvold socially conscious designer + photographer(www.spacedesignnyc.com), allie's design philosophy is a synthesis of her formal education at the renowned new york school of interior design, her background in spa development and her extensive travels throughout central and south america, africa, south asia and europe. her designs are innovative and simple with a focus on materials and a touch of abstract cultural diversity. “i have studied design throughout my travels and it never ceases to amaze me how aesthetic and functional needs of building structures throughout the world vary so significantly depending on the culture, environment and local resources available. i have always embraced this knowledge and experience, which endlessly inspire me along with the photographs that come home with me.”
